It is hard to decide whether the statue in front of that modern building was ancient art or modern art. Interesting, though.

| San Juan is really 2 cities in one. Old San Juan has buildings dating back hundreds of years. The streets are very narrow and there is a city ordinance prohibiting work on the outside of buildings by anyone except a special group with certain styles and colors chosen by the city council. The aim is to preserve the look of Old San Juan. | |

San Juan is across a bridge and has many tall buildings
and modern, wide streets. Notice the trees on the roof.
About half of the buildings have this roof garden
